Welcome to the Sunrise Mercantile on-line website! We hope you will find this to be a fast and convenient way to receive updates on SunMerc-hosted events, view our current cafe menu, and shop for interesting products on line. For those who have personally visited our store in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, you know our operation consists of several "stores-within-a-store." We have a yarn shop and fibre arts training studio, gift shop, gourmet food store, and a cafe overlooking beautiful Tatamagouche Bay.
Due to the large volume and continuously-rotating nature of our product inventory, we have listed only a very few food items here on this website. If there is anything in particular you are seeking, please send an e-mail to us and we'll let you know if we have that product in stock (or how long it would take to get it).
We are still working on developing a special site for our gift items. At this time, however, we invite you to visit our two active websites: SunMerc.com and SunMercYarn.com. The site you are presently viewing, SunMerc.com, features primarily gourmet food items, as well as our cafe menu, news and information, and concert updates. Our sister site, www.SunMercYarn.com, is the place to go for information about fibre arts training classes, or to order yarn or equipment on-line.
In the summer and fall, we host wonderful concerts by Maritime performers, as testimony to our commitment of helping preserve the rich musical culture of Nova Scotia and surrounding provinces. Featured award-winning guest artists include Dave Gunning; Thom Swift; Charlie A'Court; David Myles; Celtic harp group Maeve, and the Tatamagouche Chamber Ensemble. If you would like to receive advance notice of upcoming concerts, just send an e-mail request to be added to our "Friends and Family" newsletter. Send your request to SunriseMercantile@yahoo.com or log into the concert announcements link here on the SunMerc website.
We are located at the intersection of the scenic Sunrise Trail (Route 6) and the Trans-Canada Hiking Trail, overlooking Tatamagouche Bay, in northern Nova Scotia, Canada. Map & Directions to Sunrise Mercantile Store - Click Here
After you peruse our gourmet food section here on www.SunMerc.com, we next invite you to visit our yarn and fibre arts website -- just click here to be re-directed to www.SunMercYarn.com.
Thanks for visiting, and please let us know if we can help you in any way.
